    Dr. Parker, Just a question, have you read the book “the Salt Fix” by Dr. Nicolantonio? He mentions that the Mediterranean diet works in part due to its higher salt content. I’d be interested in your thoughts.

    • Cathy, I’m not aware of any scientific studies to back up his assertion regarding the Mediterranean diet.
      I am skeptical, however, about public health measures to reduce sodium consumption across the board to 2,300 grams/day.
