		<description><![CDATA[Given that it doesn&#039;t seem like they were randomized by AAI, I&#039;d be highly skeptical of what that means.  That, and I&#039;ve never heard of that endpoint.  It&#039;s certainly not a clinically utilized one for testing the efficacy of therapies or diagnosing disease.  However, a 10-pt reduction in bp is nothing to scoff at mortality-wise.

All this study tells me that under highly structured environments where a 500 calorie deficit is assured, patients lose weight.  As you said, no surprise there.  If it was that easy, we wouldn&#039;t have a problem.

8 weeks isn&#039;t very long either.]]></description>
